The Byron at Byron Resort & Spa

Various Artists, Byron Bay NSW

In collaboration with Haysom Architects Brisbane, this project involved the selection of suitable artists to produce artworks for 32 new rooms within a Byron Bay luxury resort.

Inspired by the dramatic rainforest surrounding the resort, 64 interior wall sculptures by Northern NSW artists Melissa Hirsch, Teah Fort and QLD artist Stephen Newton were commissioned for the bedroom and lounge areas within each room.

In addition, an entrance sculpture depicting a group of indigenous children, First Coming by Sydney artist Michael Snape has been installed within the entrance garden. This work is leased and available for acquisition.

Your involvement has added another dimension to our projects – creative eyes, professional working manner and artist connections. We have been able to develop new ideas with the safe working knowledge that we have a professional team working with us to ensure an exceptional product. Penny Campbell
