Commissioned for a curved, double-height corridor in Taipei’s new hospital, Kingdom of Butterflies offers a contemplative moment within a clinical setting. Suspended above the thoroughfare, the sculpture draws on memories of time spent in nature—its gently unfolding forms suggesting calm and uplift. CREATIVE ROAD worked closely with artist Jade Oakley to develop and refine the concept, managing all stages from design development through to fabrication and on-site installation. The project demonstrates how thoughtful, artist-led processes can enrich large-scale infrastructure environments, even in complex international contexts, through meaningful engagement with place and the human experience.
