Transforming the Helensvale Underpass, Estuary Dawn invites connection with light, movement, and place. Referencing the tidal rhythms of nearby Coombabah Lake and Coomera River, Al Stark’s immersive design features mirrored forms, sequenced colour, and tonal gradients that echo local ecologies. CREATIVE ROAD developed the curatorial framework, managed artist commissioning, and led stakeholder approvals. The result enhances both wayfinding and safety after dark, while offering a culturally and environmentally grounded experience for everyday users.
