Renowned American artist MOMO and CREATIVE ROAD were selected as the winning team in an international competition to deliver a new artwork for Home of the Arts (HOTA), the new cultural precinct on the Gold Coast. The winning concept transformed the art’s precinct tower into a landmark mural of colour and rhythm visible across parklands. Australian artists Georgia Hill and Elliott Routledge worked alongside MOMO to deliver the large-scale work in just two weeks. The project was documented by filmmaker Selina Miles.

The project demanded sequenced access, surface preparation, coatings specification, and WHS planning for a live public setting. CREATIVE ROAD assembled and led a team of artists and specialist suppliers, coordinating shift programming, colour sampling, grid scaling, and quality control to keep the work precise at monumental scale while staying true to the artist’s intent. Stakeholder liaison, permits, and weather contingencies were managed alongside wayfinding and communications to keep the precinct operating safely. The result is an enduring intervention that amplifies place identity and offers moments of joy for audiences and passers-by daily.
